HIIBT

Description - HIIBT is High Intensity Interval Boxing Training - a 45-minute, High intensity cardio driven, heart raising, boxing-centric workout. Inspired by the fat-burning, increased cardio-vascular and metabolic health benefits of HIIT training, that will leave you exhausted, exhilarated alongside increasing your boxing skills and technics throughout every session.

Every HIIBT class is different, challenging both physical and mental abilities, learning new boxing techniques and drills, integrated with high intensity boxing conditioning; increasing lung capacity, mental and physical endurance, strength and stamina whether your a professional boxer, complete beginner or fitness enthusiast.

Your skills & fitness level
Before taking a HIIBT class we recommend you have at least some basic boxing training experience and a reasonable level of fitness. If you have any questions, get in touch.

You will need boxing hand wraps and gloves for the class. Please bring your own for hygiene and Covid19 guidance restrictions. We suggest 14-16 oz boxing gloves

BOXFIT

Description - Get BOXFIT without the punches in our boxing fitness and skills classes which helps everyone, including absolute beginners, get fighting fit in a seriously fun way, without getting hit in the face.
Boxing NI boxing fitness and skills classes are easily one of the best ways to quickly lose-weight, increase fitness, improve conditioning, build confidence, de-stress, learn self-defence and develop total body strength.
Through guided rope-work, shadow boxing, pad-work (or safe distance boxing sticks), bag-work, boxer-style circuit training and plenty of encouragement from excellent BoxingNI coaches, we'll help get your mental state and physical shape to a whole new level, while learning the true craft of a fantastic, fun and challenging sport.
Classes are demanding but fun, friendly, and open to everyone from absolute beginners to boxers, whatever your level of fitness.

At a typical 45-minute boxing fitness and skills class, you can expect:

  • BoxingNI Technical Check to guide you through the boxing basics of stance, guard, punches and movement
  • Skipping-rope work to warm up and practice footwork
  • Shadow boxing for movement and technique
  • Pad-work (or safe distance boxing sticks) with a professional coach
  • Various punch bags including speed-ball
  • Use of professional boxing ring
  • Dipping station and chin-up bar
  • Medicine ball sit-ups and leg-raise station
  • Kettlebells for strength and endurance
  • Battleropes for power and conditioning
  • Hardcore boxer-style circuit training
  • Great music and atmosphere

Fit to Fight Program

Description - Boxing competition ready is where you up your game & improve your boxing craft.

If you've learnt the basics and your fitness is improving, what's next, Boxing fight night ready? is an advanced boxing session where you learn more about the 'sweet science' of boxing, develop your footwork, defensive skills, overall technique and how to own the ring.

Boxing NI coaches focus and guide you on all aspects of boxing technique, fitness and philosophy in a session that includes technical drills.

Your skills & fitness level
There is no minimum requirement to join ‘Boxing fight night ready’ sessions, everyone is welcome, although some prior ‘Boxfit’ or “HIIBT’ boxing training experience is recommended.

Functional Mondays

Description - Functional fitness training is a type of strength training that readies your body for daily activities. These exercises equip you for the most important type of physical fitness, the kind that preps you for real-life, daily living stuff like bending, twisting, lifting, loading, pushing, pulling, squatting and hauling. Most functional fitness contains multi-joint movement patterns that involve your knees, hips, spine, elbows, wrists, and shoulders, which all build strength and improve your range of motion. It all comes down to being practical, but don’t mistake that for boring as this class will challenge your endurance ,stamina , aerobic and anaerobic training system and guaranteed to get you multidirectional fitter and stronger. This class is mostly functional training with a boxing element .

Your skills & fitness level
Before taking a Functional Monday class we recommend you have at least some basic resistance and bodyweight training experience and a reasonable level of fitness. If you have any questions, get in touch.

Strength and High Performance

Strength and high performance class involves a wide range of exercises developed to build a variety of skills with a focus on mind, mobility, stability, strength, endurance, power, speed, agility and performance.

Strength and high performance workouts are developed specifically to improve performance in competitive sports  (Boxing) and. also help with injury prevention and develop the proper mechanics within an athlete's sports performances.  This class is for all abilities and the S&H concept runs through each class building strength and high performance. This is a class were you can work with a team or partnered environment which highly motivates each other building a great atmosphere and competitive spirit.
